New Astro-images, 7/99

Chuck Kimball

these 6 images are new and or newly processed since the big catalog went up . I am still using the same basic setup, a Meade LX200 10 inch f6.3 with piggybacked Meade 2045S spotitng scope at f20 and a Meade Pictor 201 XT or 216 XT as the autoguider. The film is, as usual, the discontinued Kodak PMC, hypered in forming gas for 6 hours at 5psi, 50 degrees C on an open reel. I process my work through Costco 1- hour photo and scan the resulting 4x6 prints into a mac G3... enhancemant is done with Photoshop 5 LE that came with my Pablo graphics tablet.....using ideas from several sources and some of my own.

**** New item of equipment is used on the Omega Centauri (ngc 5139)....
made with an ALT - AZ mounted scope using the Model 1220 field de-rotator!!! Two 30 minute exposures...
